Branch Collection Officer


Position Overview

Branch Collection Officer ensures loss mitigation and recovery of Bank losses from delinquent accounts, at the branch level, in accordance with the Bank’s and legal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that a list of defaulting accounts of the Branch is generated and reviewed.
  • Perform field works and ensure timely collection and reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
  • Establish and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Appear in small claims court on behalf of the Bank as may be required.
  • Ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s Loans Collection Procedures, and Remedial Management Policies and Guidelines.
  • Ensure timely application or recognition of payments.
  • Ensure timely preparation and sending out of billing statements and notices, and posting of payments to the loan program.
  • Ensure smooth credit operation of the Branch.
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned or required of the job.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

  • Graduate of any 4-year course
  • Knows how to drive (with valid driver's license)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • With good negotiation skills
  • Knowledge on small claims and court procedures is an advantage
